Norman Review
Norman is a flaccid, mediocre bore of a film.
I love movies, tech, politics, games and more. I've been writing professionally since 1985 and, thankfully, have worked with some of the best editors in the business. I'm also a proud member of the Philadelphia Film Critics Circle and the Broadcast Film Critics Association (Critics Choice Awards).
Norman is a flaccid, mediocre bore of a film.
The Lost City of Z is more lost than the fabled city.
Free Fire is Mozart on meth.
The Promise is a land-based version of James Cameron’s Titanic.
Their Finest is a harsh feminist rant against masculinity of any type.
Colossal is a metaphorical misadventure that goes far off the rails.
Going in Style is more worn and feeble than someone twice the main characters’ combined ages.
Gifted is a mural comprised of simple primary colors, but sometimes, simple is all we need.
The Boss Baby is a lackluster snoozer with no discernible audience.
The Zookeeper’s Wife grabs your attention and keeps it engaged.
Frantz is the kind of film that creates a lasting sense of intimate familiarity.
Life is a blatant rip-off of the Alien franchise — and a damn good one.
